Mi Chiedo Quando Ti Manchero

An Italian indie starring White Lotus breakout star Beatrice Grannò and a sparkling Claudia A. Marsicano. Directed by Francesco Fei, with a screenplay written by Fei and Chiara Barzini, based on the book by Amanda Davis. EMA composed the score using processed autoharp, slide guitar, electronics and original songs.

EMA has been the producer or co-producer on all of her critically acclaimed albums. NPR called her “one of indie music’s great world builders.” in 2015 she scored her first feature length film, #Horror, directed by Tara Subkoff, starring Chloe Sevigny and Natasha Lyonne. Produced by Urs Fischer with visuals by Tabor Roback, it was released by IFC Midnight. The film also included an original song, “Amnesia Haze”, and the score is available across all digital platforms.

In 2019 she was contacted by award-winning Italian director Francesco Fei to score his upcoming film MI CHIEDO QUANDO TI MANCHERÒ, based on the cult novel Wonder When You’ll Miss Me by Amanda Davis. Anderson used autoharp, slide guitar, analog synths and digital processing to create a dreamy yet sophisticated palette for the teenage protagonist. The score also included two original songs written for the film. “Mi Chiedo Quando Ti Manchero” debuted at the Rome Film Festival in 2019 and the release has been rescheduled to 2021.

EMA songs have also appeared in the films Jamie Marks Is Dead and Unforgettable, as well as on television in “How To Get Away With Murder”, “Good Girls” “SMILF”, “The Good Wife”, “Circus” , “Startup” and two episodes of the animated Adult Swim series “Off The Air.”
